Who said maxi-dresses can’t be a fall staple? I don’t actually know if anyone ever said that, but I would probably be skeptical about it myself. Good thing this year “Fall” is only a light suggestion, as evidenced by the weather that allows me to shorts in October. The mild weather has been dependent on a lot of transitional pieces, like this leather jacket, that are easy to layer.

It also allows me to be a little adventurous with my autumnal style, hence me rocking this amazing dress by one of my favorite brands, NBD. I honestly find that layering a leather jacket over pretty much anything makes it fall-worthy, and I love the stark contrast of the black leather against the soft blush of the dress.
