So this post is feeling a bit Gossip Girl/Blair Waldor-esque with our plaid skirts and knee socks, but what else do you expect from a Back to School inspiration outfit? Even though I’m an old lady and long graduated by now, I still love to take the classic plaid, schoolgirl silhouette and edge it up a bit. I tend to feel that this particular look never goes out of style, as long as you update it based on the current trends and pair it with some kick-ass accessories.
Thanks to my good friend, fellow fashionista & guest model for this post, Lauren Slutsky, we topped off our outfits with some serious bling from her amazingly cute boutique. Be sure to check out it out here!
We both chose to style our looks on the casual side, layering slouchy pullovers (mine with a little bit of bling) over plaid skirts & high socks, topped off with platforms boots and leather clutches. Never underestimate the endless possibilities of a cute plaid skirt.
Special thanks to Bloomingdales for the amazingly embellished sweatshirt, which, by the way, ladies, is only $68! Love me some Bloomies. <3
