Warm to the Core: What’s Up with UNIQLO’s New HEATTECH Collection?

So, it’s that time of year again in New York City…the time of year when it is mid-November and the temperature is still hovering around 60 degrees. I’m honestly frightened by how long our winter is going to be if our “Fall” is lasting this long. That’s why I’m getting prepared for what I know will be a COLD season of not wanting to leave my bed with UNIQLO‘s HEATTECH collection.

This plain black scoop neck I’m wearing (perfect for tucking into skirts and high-waisted jeans which I’m thrilled about considering I’m always on the hunt for tees with the right fit/cut for tucking in) is SO WARM. This HEATTECH is legit because when I took off the shirt, it actually felt really warm in my hands (I even made my boyfriend confirm this so I knew I wasn’t crazy), which tells me it actually kept my body heat in! Uniqlo HeatTeach #warmtothecore It’s also super easy to layer over with a cute jacket or sweater because it isn’t bulky. This is exactly what I need in the wintertime when I don’t want to wear a bulky sweater around (slash I get super hot when I’m indoors and the heat is blasting and I’m dressed for the 10 degree weather outside). #WinterProblems

I also snagged these UNIQLO HEATTECH leggings for myself because, well, leggings. I love leggings. You probably already know that. I literally have twenty pairs of leggings and half of those are lined with flannel so I can wear them in the winter. I have to say that these HEATTECH leggings are a pretty thin, soft material, so I wasn’t expecting them to be all that warm, but they somehow are just as warm as my flannel ones. They are actually better because when I go indoors, I’m not dying of heatstroke like I usually do when I wear my flannel leggings.Uniqlo HeatTeach #warmtothecore

All in all, I give the HEATTECH collection an A+. I will definitely be wearing these pieces all through winter (and might actually add some more to my collection).
